Ahead of our Supervising Counsellors Working with Children and Young People course, we caught up with course lead John Bradley to ask him a little about the course and himself.
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
"I enjoy supervising, and I have been supervising counsellors working with children and young people (CYP) since 2008. I am also passionate about working with children and young people, and I have been offering counselling to CYP clients since 1998."
What can participants expect at the workshop?
"I have prepared a workshop that will examine some of the legal and ethical issues involved in counselling CYP clients. There will also be time to explore client examples using creativity in supervision. I will also look at what BACP’s Competences for working with children and young people says about supervision. Please feel free to bring any of your own counselling and supervision practice questions."
How will it be taught?
"There will be a PowerPoint presentation, group discussion, creative exercises, and working in pairs."
There's still time to join us on Monday, 29 June. You'll find out more at the link here. 👇
