The establishment of a research group at the University of York's Department of Health Sciences is a natural development of a past and present interest in complementary medicine. We have a track record of academic involvement, conducting clinical evaluations of osteopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathy. Our research into complementary medicine is informed by a patient- and practitioner-centered perspective. We have been successful in attracting a range of funding including doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships, a Career Scientist Award and a number of evaluative research projects.
