⭐️ A massive congratulations to NDA student Soraya who has successfully auditioned for the Phoenix Youth Theatre programme based in York & Leeds. Not only did Soraya successfully audition for the programme, she has also been awarded the Leverhulme Half Bursary Award. This has been awarded to Soraya for her natural talent & her potential to pursue a successful career in dance. We are all extremely proud of you Soraya, you have done amazing. Over the 7 years that you have been training at NDA, you have blossomed into a beautiful dancer, & know you’ll continue to flourish training with Phoenix Dance Theatre too! ⭐️

⭐️ With only a few weeks left before we start the Autumn term, here is the up to date timetable for September. Adult classes start back the first week of September, Children s classes start back week commencing Monday 6th September. Really looking forward to seeing everyone again soon, & also welcoming the new students who are joining NDA! ⭐️

At NDA we offer a Yoga for Dancers class that supports our students to develop their strength, flexibility and an increased awareness of body movement.
On Friday 21st August NDA are running a Yoga workshop which will predominantly focus on posture and alignment. Places are limited in this session, if you would like to attend please get in touch to secure your place!

⭐️ One of our NDA students having an amazing time at Rambert Summer Intensive in London. Siri has been with us at the Academy since she was 3 years old & is successfully making her way through the ISTD syllabus in Imperial Classical Ballet, Tap and Modern. Siri successfully auditioned for the CAT scheme in 2022 where she now also splits her classes between Northern Ballet & Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds ⭐️

⭐️ Over the summer term NDA have had ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet & Tap exams… & our students have achieved some amazing results, all Distinctions and high Merits! We are so incredibly proud of you all and how much you have accomplished. A massive congratulations to you all! At NDA we have a 100% exam pass rate & 99% of our students have achieved either a Merit or Distinction! ⭐️

⭐️ A massive well done to all of these NDA students who took their ISTD Ballet & Tap exams on Saturday. I’m sure you’ll all have done amazingly & so proud of you all ⭐️

⭐️ We are so excited for this Sunday… 30 NDA Contemporary students are performing at Alton Towers! Everyone has been working incredibly hard in rehearsals over the past few months, & can’t wait to see both pieces on stage. Thank you to NDA teacher Julia for some amazing choreography… watch this space for lots of photos and videos from this event! ⭐️
