📢CMA Career's Event - Thursday 24th November - 3-4pm A/EW/104 ✨

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the UK’s principal competition and consumer protection authority, and is an independent non-ministerial UK government department which employs over 100 economists. The CMA’s statutory duty is to promote competition for the benefit of consumers, and our mission is to make markets work well in the interests of consumers, businesses and the economy.

The CMA is setting up a new Microeconomics Unit which will lead economic research into competition innovation, productivity and related issues, based at the government’s Darlington Economic Campus. Other CMA economists work on mergers, competition law enforcement and market studies and investigations from offices in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast and Manchester.

This talk will be an opportunity to hear from and speak to CMA economists about the work they do and the career opportunities that the CMA can offer. The CMA will shortly be advertising roles suitable for graduates and interns, both in Darlington with the Microeconomics Unit and across other CMA offices.
