What a great meeting we had on Wednesday. Two great speakers Neeraj and me, Lindsay, yay. I'm very happy to say I won. 😁 Some very Skilled evaluation took place and the ribbon winner was Gilli. Congratulations Gilli 🥇 Our table topics magician Elaine, challenged our speakers who were all amazing and Niyi (very soon to be a member) delighted us with his winning speech Congrats Niyi 🥇. Today we had the most amazing Area 21 speech competition.
York hosted it so, of course it was going to be good. We had speakers, officials, and audience members from Hull, Doncaster, and Sheffield there too. The standard was excellent. I'm really delighted we showed up so well. All our people were placed in the first three in the 3 speech contests. What a dream team.
Our own Michael J. Clarke delivered a fabulous performance and was placed first in the international speech comp and will go through to the Division contest in Liverpool on the 14th March. Lovely Maya Bewley picked up 2nd place in the eval contest and Sean brought home 3rd place in table topics.
