Hi everyone, I wanted to say what a fantastic and really hectic first few weeks we've had since we've been back!

Hi everyone, good news, WE ARE BACK!

From the 4th of July, we will be able to take driving lessons again. We will have full safety precautions in place, it will also mean the pupil and the instructor will have to wear face coverings. In between each lesson the car will be cleaned down thoroughly. The pupil will also be asked to sanitize their hands before each lesson.

Hi everyone, I hope you are safe and well.

I just wanted to give an update of when we might be able to start teaching again.

As things stand there has been no official advice given to us from the government on whether we can start teaching again.
I think it is quite obvious that it would be impossible for instructors/pupils to be able to keep to the 2m social distancing rule. At the moment I would not feel comfortable teaching in an enclosed environment such as a car.
Saying this, I would like to think that once the rules are relaxed slightly (June 1st) and the infection rate is dropping rapidly, then as long both the pupil and I have a face covering then that would be the time to start again.

There will be regular updates on this from the DVSA over the coming days so hopefully I should be able to be more specific about a start date.

Let's hope we can get back on the road asap!

Hi, I just wanted to let you all know that we have made the extremely difficult decision to suspend all driving lessons. I have to put my family and health first. I am hoping that if we all do the right thing and stay indoors for the next few months, this will all be over soon!

York Driving School would like to thank all it's pupil's for their support.
