Excellent GCSE results at The Mount - well done girls! 🎉

Excitement at The Mount today as pupils arrived to find out their grades - and they didn't disappoint.

31% of grades awarded were 8-9, while over 51% were 7-9. These fantastic results are a testament to the hard work & dedication of this talented Year 11 group (plus the Year 10s who passed some GCSEs a year early!)

Wow! 100% A*- A grades across all three A Level Art & Design subjects at The Mount 🎨

Congratulations! Another successful A Level Results Day at The Mount 🎉

Excitement & joy today as our A Level students opened their envelopes. The girls have worked extremely hard over the last two years & today reaped the rewards with 40% of pupils achieving Grades A* - A and 70% of pupils achieving Grades A* - B.

Art & Design performed exceptionally well with 100% A*- A grades in Fine Art, 3D Design and Textiles, as did Chinese and German.

We couldn't be prouder of our students; these impressive results are a reflection of their passion, perseverance & commitment - we can’t wait to see all the amazing things they go on to achieve!

We are thrilled to welcome Lucy, Chris, and The Moxie Centre, our newest neighbours, to Dalton Terrace!

They are bringing an ambitious £2 million vision to life on Dalton Terrace (next door!) The Moxie Centre for Art will be a fantastic new multi-purpose arts venue coming to Holgate.

This not-for-profit community hub is set to feature a free public gallery, 15 artist studios, a professional photo studio, York’s only public-access traditional darkroom, workshop and event spaces, plus a brand-new community café.

Designed to be a vibrant gathering space where locals, collectors, and artists can cross paths over a coffee and spark new ideas, phase one could start welcoming visitors as early as late 2026!
