A huge congratulations to our Stage School student Rebecca, who recently had the incredible opportunity to open York Proms 2026 in the beautiful setting of the Museum Gardens.
Rebecca performed two fantastic songs, “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables and “Beautiful” from Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
That second song feels especially fitting, as Rebecca will be appearing in the York Stage production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Grand Opera House York this October.
We’re incredibly proud to see Rebecca taking on opportunities like this, sharing her talent and continuing to grow as a performer.
Huge congratulations, Rebecca. What an achievement and what a brilliant way to open the Proms! 💜

✨ WHAT A WEEK ✨
From the first rehearsal to that final bow, our Summer School 2026 has been something very special.
A week packed with laughter, new friendships, growing confidence, huge amounts of hard work and memories we hope will last a lifetime.
And then came the shows… WOW! 👏
It’s safe to say that each and every student did us proud. The energy, commitment and talent they brought to the stage was incredible.
They performed like true professionals and showed everyone just how much can be achieved in one amazing week.
To every student who joined us, thank you for throwing yourself into the experience, supporting each other and giving it everything you had.
Summer School 2026, you were unforgettable. 🫶🏼
