We're a day late posting this for World Sepsis Day, but it's important to raise awareness of sepsis every single day. We share this information in memory of a Reading Fairy colleague's daughter, Eliza Addison Woods. ❤ Eliza's family are commited to raising awareness of sepsis to prevent other families from suffering like they have.

Roald Dahl day... celebrating the birthday of one of our favourite storytellers. We LOVE his magical books in our house. ❤

Something for the weekend for our local followers... Poppleton's Scarecrow Hunt. There are some book characters to spot including our very own fairy tale character- we're number 14 on the trail. 😊

I'm thinking of all of our Reading Fairy families with children starting Nursery or school this week. 💕

A lovely photo memory... I will be running our next Reading Fairy training, alongside our fabulous founder on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th October, 2021.* I'd love to be training a new Reading Fairy for York, there's still time to join! :-)

* This training will be online, with a combination of live, interactive sessions and tasks and modules to complete on our online platform. (Therefore, you can train from the comfort of your own home!) 😍

Summer Reading... I've been trying to persuade my children to try some beach bedtime reading, like the amazing Family days. Tried & tested. photo (credit- photo 1) but they're not as co-operative as they used to be! (I'm sharing a photo from a couple of years ago instead).This Summer I've actually managed to get some holiday reading time myself- pure luxury. 😍 (Families with little ones, the day will come!) I'd love to hear or see where you've been sharing books this Summer...?

Join our expanding team across York!

To meet the incredibly high demand for our classes, we are RECRUITING a new Class Leader to work in the Baby Sensory York team!

🌟 Do you love learning and teaching others new things?
🌟 Are you confident, a natural communicator and sociable?
🌟 Are you hard working, motivated and strive for the very best?
🌟 Are you a natural host?
🌟 Are you approachable?
🌟 Do you work well under pressure?
🌟 Are you well-organised and observant?
🌟 Could you lead a group of up to 12-20 adults along with their babies?
🌟 Do you have a sense of humour?
🌟 MUST have a full, clean driving license and access to a large family car to collect and safely transport our equipment to the venues.

Then our Baby Sensory Class Leader position is the job for you.

The role is initially 1-2 days per week (depending on candidate’s preference up to 12 hours) on a Thursday and/or a Friday and one other day. Paid at £12.50 per hour. Full training and kit will be provided. Hours may increase as per demand so flexibility is a must. Please note: start and finish times may not fall within school hours with either an early start or later finish time. There is also the opportunity to run birthday parties / weekend special events for extra hours should the candidate be interested.
