Come and join us for a talk from industry expert and international presenter and teacher Michael King MK Pilates UK as he gives us the lowdown on a few home truths on the group Pilates class mania that is sweeping the fitness world. Just how qualified IS your instructor and how safe are you?

There are a lot of people teaching Pilates who are not teaching Pilates.

If general exercise is your thing, then that’s great but if you are trying to learn about the magic of Pilates, are you missing out if your instructor hasn’t been trained in the fundamentals, principles, origins and history of Contrology that make it the unique and life changing choice of movement that it is?

My guest speaker, Pilates mentor and friend Michael King is joining me to talk a few home truths.

Michael originally worked with the technique as a dancer at the London School of Contemporary Dance. In 1982 he opened his own studio, Body Control, in connection with the newly formed Pineapple Dance Studios. He went on to work with the Houston Ballet.
In New York, he studied with Corola Trier and with Romana Kryzanowksa at the original Pilates Studio.
Michael’s training programs are now taught in over 30 countries worldwide and have been instrumental in the development of national and international standards in recent years and Michael continues to travel worldwide teaching and presenting.
