Three upcoming A-level CPD events in London – practical, focused and designed for the classroom

We have three exciting Time2Resources CPD days coming up in London this autumn, covering Economics, Edexcel Business and the NEW AQA Business specification.

A-level Economics – in collaboration with Peter Cramp, Economics Factory

We’re delighted to be working with Peter Cramp of Economics Factory for a day focused on developing confident A-level economists.

We’ll explore practical approaches to teaching for deep understanding, using diagrams and quantitative skills with confidence, and helping students develop stronger analysis, evaluation and judgement. There will also be dedicated AQA and Edexcel breakout sessions to look at the demands of each specification.

Edexcel A-level Business

A full day dedicated specifically to Edexcel A-level Business. We’ll look at how to move students beyond simply knowing the content to applying it effectively, developing logical chains of reasoning, using quantitative and qualitative evidence and producing stronger evaluation and judgement.

NEW AQA A-level Business Specification

With the new AQA specification, this is an important year for AQA Business teachers.

This full day will focus entirely on the NEW AQA A-level Business specification – exploring what has changed, what those changes mean for teaching and assessment, and practical ways to approach the new content and requirements with confidence.

What if the most important thing we teach isn’t the answer — but how to question it?

In Business and Economics, the interesting thinking often starts when students stop accepting:

“Higher prices mean higher profits.”

“Economic growth means everyone is better off.”

“Lower interest rates increase spending.”

…and start asking:

Does it? Why? Under what circumstances? What else might happen?

Perhaps one of the most useful habits we can develop in our students is the confidence to say:

“It depends…”

…and then explain what it depends on.
