I also hold a Child Protection, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Certificate. I continuously update my knowledge and training by attending short courses. All my certificates are available for you to view. In 2015 I attained my BA (HONS) in Educational Leadership (Children’s Workforce). This qualifies me as a level 6 practitioner. I take my work very seriously. Your child is the most important thing in your life and I endeavour to ensure that you and your child will be extremely happy with the care I provide. My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming, stimulating and fun environment, build positive relationships with the children in my care and ensure that their individual needs are met so they can reach their full potential. I hope to offer children a continuity of care as close to their home environment as possible. I like children in my care to feel “part of the family” and thus valued as a family member. I am available to look after children from the age of 6 months and upwards. I will always consider the needs of those I am already caring for and how the age and ability of prospective children may fit in. I comply with OFSTED regulations regarding the number of children I am able to care for. Please check with me regarding the vacancies that I currently have as this will vary throughout the year. I work under the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory Framework which represent the government guidelines that aim to make sure that the children in my care achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes. These are: Staying safe, Being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being. You as the parent, are a vital link to the child’s well-being and I believe it is paramount that we have a good relationship from the start. I encourage you to stay whenever you wish if that is for the benefit of the child. You are able to call me anytime as it is important you feel comfortable and happy also. I send you picture messages and occasional texts to let you know how your child is getting on throughout their day. The rooms designated for childminding purposes are all on the ground floor of the property including a toilet/washroom. There is a bedroom upstairs that may be used for babies/toddlers to sleep in a travel cot if required. The children will be checked regularly and a monitor will be used should we be in the garden or downstairs.

• Playroom
I have a designated playroom for the children which is well equipped with a variety of different resources and labelled boxes that are accessible to the children allowing them to select items as I encourage children to have choices wherever possible.

• Kitchen
This is well equipped for activities such as baking. The kitchen has a lino flooring suitable for messy activities such as gluing, sticking and painting. Children will be supervised at all times.

• Garden
The garden is a very large secure space and is well equipped with toys and large climbing equipment for various ages and stages. I encourage the children to play outside often and the children are never discouraged if they ask or make suggestions to go outside.

• Washroom
The washroom and toilet area is situated on the ground floor; children will be supervised if necessary. My hours of opening are two days a week 08:00 – 18:00 however earlier and later hours are available on request and for a small charge

A late fee will be charged if your child is collected after the agreed collection time. (see below)
Breakfast, a midday meal and all drinks and snacks and evening meal are included in the fees set out below. I am closed for statutory Bank Holidays and approximately one week over the Christmas and New Year period. I will also be closed for 4 weeks holiday throughout the year. These dates will be given to you at the start of each year. Fees for 2016
