Mill House Club

We had a fantastic turnout for our first Forest School day at Mill House Holiday Club last Thursday! The day was phenomenal, and I hope the children enjoyed it just as much as the adults did. Here are some pictures and videos showcasing some of the exciting activities we participated in! I will be creating a Q&A soon, where you can share your thoughts on what you liked about the Forest School, any possible improvements we could make, and of course, whether you would like it to be a regular feature during our holiday clubs.

If you missed the last session, don't worry; we still welcome your feedback. Feel free to sit down with your children and discuss their experiences, as they were present too!

A Huge Thank you for Emily and Chris for coming to help out with all the activities, and Kevin and Angela for making sure all the children new what they were doing throughout the day and making sure everyone stayed safe around the fire!

We are incredibly proud of the outcome and of the positive feedback received about our club. The report recognises the strong relationships between staff and children, the safe and nurturing environment we provide, and the effective support in place for all children, including those with additional needs. It also highlights the warm, trusting relationships children have with our team and the care taken to ensure they feel safe, happy and secure.

This achievement reflects the dedication, teamwork and professionalism of our staff, who work tirelessly every day to create a welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable environment for the children in our care. We are truly proud of the commitment they show to supporting children’s wellbeing, development and happiness.

February Half Term ⭐️

Our holiday club was packed full of exciting, hands-on activities designed to spark creativity, build friendships and keep children smiling all day long. We themed our sessions around special events happening at the time, making every day feel unique and full of discovery.

The children loved celebrating Pancake Day with delicious pancakes and tasty sweet treats, and they got wonderfully creative making Chinese New Year lanterns and colourful Hama bead patterns. Our bakers had the chance to get busy with some baking, while our arts and crafts tables were constantly buzzing with imagination and creativity.

One of the highlights was soap carving using child-friendly tools. The children were so proud of the incredible creations they made! Alongside all of this, we played a wide range of games linked with the Winter Olympics, encouraging teamwork, confidence and lots of laughter.

At Mill House Clubs Holiday Club, every day is designed to be engaging, creative and full of fun in a safe and supportive environment.
