Therefore Christmas isn't an official holiday in Thailand but we do it here in the UK. People in the UK give gifts on Christmas Day , Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Birthday, Anniversary or Valentine’s Day where thai people give gifts anytime because gift giving is deeply ingrained in social culture, serving as a gesture of respect and gratitude

ศาสนาที่ยูเคและไทยต่างกัน ที่อังกฤษและเวลส์ส่วนใหญ่เป็นคริสเตียนในขณะที่ไทยมากกว่าเก้าสิบเปอร์เซ็นต์นับถือศาสนาพุทธ ดังนั้น วันคริสมาสต์ทึ่ยูเคจึงถือเป็นวันหยุดราชการใสขณะที่ประเทศไทยไม่ใช่

คนอังกฤษ จะให้ของขวัญกันในช่วงวันคริสมาสต์ วันเกิด วันพ่อวันแม่ วันเฉลิมฉลองสำคัญต่างๆ และวันวาเลนไทน์ ใยขณะที่ไทยการให้ของขวัญถือเป็นเรื่องปกติและให้ได้ทุกเวลา เพราะการให้ของขวัญแก่กันและกันถือเป็นการแสดงความเคารพและนับถือระหว่างกัน ถือว่าเป็นวัฒนธรรมไทยที่ปลูกฝังกันมายาวนาน

ดังนั้น หากเราไม่ได้รับของขวัญหรือของฝากในยูเคที่ไม่ใช่ในวันสำคัญถือว่าเป็นเรื่องปกติ
