Last Friday, we enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day! ๐

Our children showed amazing teamwork, determination and enthusiasm throughout a carousel of activities, including javelin, long jump, hurdles and target throw. They also gave their all in the sprint races, cheering each other on every step of the way.
A huge thank you to all of our families who came along to support the children, and well done to everyone who took part in the parents' race โ it was great fun and enjoyed by all!
Congratulations to our overall winning house, Byland! ๐๐
Well done to every child for demonstrating such fantastic sportsmanship, resilience and team spirit. We are so proud of you all!

Class 1 enjoyed making and eating some fruity yoghurt ice lollies today in an attempt to cool off! โ๏ธ
The children worked hard to mash up bananas, strawberries and raspberries before mixing in some Greek yoghurt and freezing.
The lollies were thoroughly enjoyed and served as a refreshing treat in the hot weather! ๐ญ

๐๏ธ Wristbands will be given to children on Monday 13th July. Children must have their wristband to attend.

Today in DT, Class 2 learnt about the benefits of making their own healthy wraps instead of choosing pre-packed sandwiches. ๐ฏ๐ฅ
The children prepared their fillings by grating and chopping, using the claw grip and bridge hold safely and confidently. Their delicious wraps were a big success!

๐ฆธโโ๏ธ๐ Class 2's Super Dads Celebration๐๐ฆธโโ๏ธ
Class 2 enjoyed a wonderful afternoon celebrating our amazing dads and special grown-ups. The children led a beautiful prayer, shared why their dads are superheroes, made Super Dad masks, enjoyed a special snack and spent quality time together.
As part of our Catholic Social Teaching, we celebrated Family and Community, giving thanks for the love, care and support shown by our families every day.
A big thank you to everyone who joined usโwe loved making such special memories together. ๐

Refugee Week 2026
Class 1 have learnt about refugees and considered what it would be like to be a refugee.
๐ธWe discussed how it would feel to have to leave your home quickly and not be able to bring much with you.
๐ธWe said a prayer for refugees and added them to our prayer tree.
๐ธThe children considered how we could make a refugee feel welcome.
The children shared some thoughtful responses and fantastic ideas. Well done Class 1!

Growing our own fruits and vegetables is such a rewarding experience. The children were excited to top up the fruit bowl with their home grown peas ๐ซ

Class 1 have had a great time experimenting and making their own chalk paint. ๐ซ
The children showed great shoulder strength as they crushed up the chalk and added different quantities of water to make different textures.
Messy fun was had by all as the children experimented with different ways to mark make with the paint๐๏ธ
