For anyone looking to us for childcare, meet our furbaby Hugo! We thought long and hard about this decision and decided that that the time was right for us. We consulted with our existing parents and we were pleased to receive their full support. We did lots of research on the benefits of having a dog in the setting.
Dogs offer significant emotional, social and developmental benefits, such as reduced anxiety, understanding of empathy and increased social skills. Dogs offer comfort and support to children and assist them in self regulating their emotions, encouraging positive behaviour and builds confidence.
They also encourage physical health, with walks and play time.
Hugo has quickly become a firm favorite with the children 😁🥰🐶

A rare space has become available within our setting, based in Acomb. We are a husband and wife team offering a home from home environment for children to learn and develop. I have a first class honours degree in education leadership and a foundation degree on early years learning and development.
We take the children out every day and our activities include, forest schools, arts and crafts, role play and construction to name a few. We take on children from 9 months to school age. Please feel free to browse our page Claire Louise Childminding Services xx
