Hi everyone!

We are holding our AGM very soon and are looking for new members of our committee! All roles are up for grabs, and the link to the application form is in our bio 🙂

You do not have to fill in all the sections, but just include a short sentence or two about why you would like to take up one or more of the roles listed (a photo is not required!)

Being part of a volunteering society committee is a fantastic thing to put on your CV, and we have all really enjoyed our time as part of the Homegrown team. As a member of the committee, you would be free to organise gardening session whenever you like, growing fruit, veg and more for our local community!

If you do decide to take up a role, we will of course support you all the way into fulfilling your position.

Hi all! As the term draws to a close, our work is just beginning! This week we are doing a plant pot painting session in preparation for potting our seedlings next week. We will provide the pots, paints and snacks, all you need to do is turn up! Any questions, feel free to dm or email us 😊🌱

Hi all! Since we are waiting on the ground maintenance team to renovate our gardening beds for us, and the weather is looking a bit gloomy this Sunday anyway, this weekend will just be a quick session at 11:00am at the James gardening beds where you will help us plan what to grow, and where! We will provide the paper and some pens (if you have your own, please bring them along too!) and we will start drawing up some plans for planting next year! See you there! 🙂 🌱

Hello everyone! We have finally got a Facebook account for Homegrown! 🌱 This year we plan to pick up where we left off by renovating the James college gardening beds (we let them get a bit overgrown over the summer - oops!) as well as doing some planting towards the end of the term.
We are also looking at getting some more beds near Alcuin and Halifax colleges!
