Our preschoolers had a wonderful time on their trip to Askham Wildlife Park last week!

I can also confirm the animals have given their permission to appear on our post 😆

We’re back from our trip around the world! ✈️🌍

Our preschoolers have officially wrapped up their big global adventure! We "visited" four incredible countries (Australia, France, Tanzania, and Brazil) and the children had a great time diving into everything each culture has to offer.

Here is a little look at what we got up to:

* In Australia, we explored Indigenous culture through dot art, made our own cardboard boomerangs, and crafted rainsticks. We also tried out some didgeridoo breathing and had fun with Great Barrier Reef sensory play.
* In France, we got a real taste of Paris! We tried yummy crepes, painted water lilies like Monet, and set up our own little boulangerie (bakery). The children also engineered Eiffel Towers and joined in with a fashion show using different clothing and materials.
* In Tanzania, we went on safari walks, learned some traditional Maasai dancing, and kept the beat in an African drumming session. We also put on shadow puppet shows and made amazing savannah sunset art.
* In Brazil, we dived into the rainforest with animal-matching games and painted colourful macaws. We also did some sensory play with pretend coffee beans, and one of our parents' led a super fun, high-energy rainforest dance session.

The children had the absolute best time exploring the world together. They are all certified global travellers now - just a little bit jet-lagged after all that excitement! Well done, preschool!

This week in toddlers, we've been focusing on the sense of touch - exploring different textures through hands-on and feet-on, activities and play! 😄

🐍🐸We had some very special guests in tweenies this week!🪲🕷️

ZooLab came to see us, bringing some very interesting creatures... it was such a fun and engaging experience for our little daisies!
