Our little Daisies raised an amazing £1,395.35!!!

Not only are we coming to the end of our Jubilee celebrations here at nursery, we are also celebrating Louise's 30th birthday and the start of Molly's maternity leave, we can't wait to meet baby Millar!

What an amazing few weeks we've had here celebrating the Jubilee and we would like to wish you all a wonderful bank holiday weekend from all of the team!

We sang 'God Save the Queen', had a royal banquet and generally had lots of fun!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Our final celebration of the Jubilee will be our royal dress up day tomorrow...

Daisy Chain have had a fun filled couple of weeks preparing for the Queens Jubilee, we have been making flags and bunting, made our very own Queen Elizabeth and have been enjoying royal snacks including coronation sandwiches, Victoria sponge cakes and strawberries and cream!💂‍♀️🇬🇧 👑

Wednesday 6th April was Daisy Chain's Hop for the Hospice day.

We had an amazing time, our children were fantastic, bunny hopping and dancing for almost half an hour!
I'm very proud of my children and staff, and would also like to say a HUGE thank you to our very generous parents, without whom this fundraising event would not have been possible.

We recently celebrated Chinese New Year. Good Wishes to All!

In preschool we have been learning about Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival in China.
Sculptors cut out gigantic ice blocks from a river and spend months making beautiful castles, enormous dragons and supersized goddesses.
As some of our children are interested in buildings and landmarks, we have tried to recreate some of the most famous buildings from around the world. We have played with real ice, coloured ice, as well as constructing with plastic ice cubes that light up in different colours (just like the real festival). We have been looking at other ice structures too, such as Igloos and recreating these during play and crafting.

May we congratulate our friend and colleague Rachel Ward who has been a member of St John since she was five years old, and has recently received her long service award for seventeen years as a qualified first aider. Pictured with her is her husband Ian who received his award for ten years service, and their children Annie and Oscar. Annie is about to follow in her parents footsteps and join St John. We are proud of them all and wish them well

Wow!!! Nine feet one inches high, or for those in metric 2 meters 77cm. Our little ones are so proud of their sunflowers, just as we are proud of them.

We have brand new furniture in the baby room!

The babies have enjoyed exploring our new sensory area and looking at their reflection in the mirror.

We have been getting all snug and cosy in our new book hub and have been looking at lots of books together.
