What a fantastic time we had for sports day! Well done to all our children for taking part and thank you to our families for joining us.
St Aelreds is a happy and safe school and nursery where children thrive; a place where they are excited to play, curious to learn, and inspired to achieve.

Shelter building in Year 5. We have been learning how to make structures stable by reinforcing joins. We looked at 2 shelters used in the world war and designed our own, afterwards building models of them. Fab work!

🌈 Day of Many Colours 🌍
We are excited to celebrate Mission Together’s Day of Many Colours on Monday 29th June. This is a special day dedicated to celebrating the diversity within our school and wider community.
✨ Children are invited to come to school wearing bright, colourful clothing or clothing that represents their country, culture, or heritage.
Throughout the day, children will have the opportunity to:
💛 Celebrate differences
💛 Recognise the things that unite us
💛 Appreciate the unique contributions every individual brings to our school community
We look forward to a joyful and meaningful celebration together!

We were incredibly proud to take two of our Year 6 children to the NPCAT Sports Awards at the Riverside Stadium today.
Throughout the year, both children have demonstrated exceptional dedication, resilience and commitment to school sport. They have represented our school with pride, shown outstanding sportsmanship and continually challenged themselves to be the best they can be.
It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their achievements and recognise the positive impact they have had on our sporting community. They are fantastic role models and thoroughly deserve this recognition.
Congratulations to both of you!
