Friday funday today at club 🌞
We started by making a big mess with cereals, which was then expertly hand crafted into bird feed balls 🐦
Next up was some animal fun games, with some bingo and pin the tail on the cow! (Not pictured is the giraffe, of whom also got a new tail)
We were also lucky enough to get a visit from the ice cream man, which was much needed for a nice cool down 🍦
Hoping everyone has a fab weekend!

A huge thank you to Butterwick Alpaca Retreat for your visit today. The children were super excited to see the animals, and said that they loved spending time with them and wish that they could take them home! We look forward to some future visits.

It's been minibeast day at holiday club today πŸ›πŸœπŸͺ°πŸ¦—πŸͺ²πŸ•·
We went on a little hunt around the field and playground to look for bugs and beetles
Painted ladybird and bee plates, and then we made some 'soil' crispy cakes complete with 'worms' on the top πŸͺ±πŸžπŸŒπŸ

Today at holiday club we continued animal week with some food crafts.
We all made an absolute tonne of animal biscuits! Some of us made some very abstract ladybird apples, which were delicious 🐞
And we finished up with some chocolate mice πŸ€
Which appear to have scurried away before we managed to take a photo 🐭
Wishing everyone a fantastic summer holidays 🌞

We've really been basking in some Autumn festivities at holiday club this week, even if it was raining for most of it! πŸŒ§β˜”οΈπŸπŸ‚πŸ§™β€β™€οΈπŸŽƒπŸ‘»
We went on a leaf hunt to find the best ones to spray paint, which made a lovely effect.
We had our trip to Stockeld Park, which despite the weather was still a lot of fun! (Check website for details - we all loved it).
We also made chocolate apples and made so very much mess, but they look amazing and they're sure to taste great, whilst also decorating your living room carpet 🍏🍫🍬
Looking forward to the Christmas holidays!

We had a terrifyingly fun Halloween party at club yesterday πŸŽƒπŸŽ‰πŸ’€πŸ‘»πŸ§Ÿβ€β™‚οΈ
Apple bobbing, stick the eye on the zombie, find the sweets on the flour and stick the nose on the witch to name a few!
Some fabulous costumes and games made for a very entertaining and messy afternoon!
Hope all our families had a fabulous Halloween πŸ‘»πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸŽƒ

We love planning different activities for the children but we also have a strong belief in free play...and this is why. A group of children worked together this morning to make "Rainbow Steve"

It's certainly been a very busy day at club today!
We kicked off the morning with hama bead creations (always a crowd favourite).
Going into the afternoon we made mini cheesecakes, which are luxuriously egg-stravagant.
After lunch was our Easter egg hunt.
This involved a scramble to find one of the custom-made, initialled and individually designed polystyrene eggs; of which were egg-spertly hidden around the grounds.
These in turn were traded in for a choccy one because polystyrene would make for a terrible Easter treat.
Wishing all our families a very happy Easter 🐰🌷🐣πŸ₯šπŸ«πŸŒ±
