Last week, at Orchard Park Preschool, the children had lots of fun exploring pasta through a range of hands-on activities.
They enjoyed tipping, pouring, scooping and transferring the pasta, developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and understanding of quantity along the way. 👐🥣
We also got creative by using pasta to decorate people shapes, encouraging the children to explore textures, patterns and their imagination. 🎨👩‍🎨👨‍🎨
A fun-filled learning experience where little hands were busy exploring, creating and discovering! 🌟

Second week back, our children enjoyed getting creative and making their very own Italian flags! 🎨💚🤍❤️
It was a lovely opportunity to explore the colours of the Italian flag, develop our creativity and fine motor skills, and learn a little about Italy along the way. 🌍🇮🇹
The children were so proud of their colourful creations! ❤️🤍💚

We also talked about Italian food and children enjoyed making their own Pizza.

🎓🌟 Graduation Day 🌟🎓
On Wednesday, 15th of July we celebrated a very special day as we said goodbye to some of our wonderful preschool children.

We are so proud of everything they have achieved during their time with us. They have grown in confidence, made amazing friendships, learned so many new skills, and filled our nursery with laughter and smiles.

As they begin their exciting new adventure at primary school, we wish each and every one of them the very best of luck. Keep believing in yourselves, be kind, be curious, make lots of friends and never stop learning.

We will miss you all so much, but we know you are ready to spread your wings and shine.
Congratulations to all Orchard Park leavers of 2026! We are so proud of you. 💙📚✨

⚽️ Football Fun at Nursery! ⚽️

Our little football stars had a fantastic time celebrating their love of the game!
The children came dressed in their favourite football kits, enjoyed friendly matches on the field, and got creative by making football-themed crafts.
It was wonderful to see everyone showing great teamwork, cheering on their friends, and having lots of fun together.
Weather was hot therefore we only could only play a little match together but children showed a good spitit and kept going.
We're all keeping our fingers crossed and wishing England the very best of luck tonight as they continue their journey to become World Cup 2026 Champions! 🏆

Busy Little Learners at Preschool!
🌟
Our children have been exploring the exciting world of insects through a variety of hands-on activities and creative learning experiences! 🐛🦋🐞
This term we have been: ✨ Learning about the butterfly life cycle
✨ Creating caterpillar, ladybird, and insect-themed crafts
✨ Going on bug and insect walks to discover creatures in their natural habitats
✨ Exploring insects with magnifying glasses in our sensory sand area
✨ Reading stories such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar and taking part in related activities
✨ The children were fascinated to see the complete transformation from caterpillar to butterly and observe them to spread their wings and begin their new adventures.
Last not least having an icecream treat on a very hot weather.

Alongside our insect topic, we have also been focusing on growth, discussing how children grow and change, and measuring ourselves to see how much we've grown this year! 📏🌱
The children have shown great curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm throughout these activities, developing their understanding of the natural world while having lots of fun.
🐞🦋 We can't wait to continue our summer term adventures! 🦋🐞

I would like to thank all the parents who came in to celebrate Easter with us it was a very busy hour doing crafts with the children. The children have also this term learnt about the importance of looking after the resources, the importance of keeping them clean and the most popular activity washing the pots after snack and lunch. These skills and understanding are so essential in everyday life with parents already commenting on how the children are wanting to do the washing/tidying up at home😀🥰
Last but not least we would like to wish everybody a really lovely easter. We will look forward to your return.🐥🐰

This half term we have been learning about people in our community the postman/ the builder, the gardner and the caretaker/street cleaner. The children have really enjoyed going on walks in the community (especially excited to see the builder with the digger).
We spoke about the importance about putting rubbish in the bins and recycling our plastic bottles and cardboard which the children had great fun with in the junk modelling station. We tidied our garden ready to plant our seeds for the vegetable and the flower patches this is a fabulous opertunitie for the children to learn about the world around us.🤩🤩🙂🙂

Orchard park preschool had a very busy first half term back from the christmas break. The Gruffalo was the book of the term we had several weeks having lots of fun extending out play and acting out the book and characters. We followed this by visiting China learning about the different traditions and celebrating Chinese new year lastly we could'nt forget valentines day making some lovely cakes at "cook school" and some crafts for parents🥰🥰🥰

Orchard Park Preschool would like to Wish everybody a happy christmas and happy new year.
We have had a lovely month at preschool the children have been getting very excited making some lovely cards, jumpers ,gingerbread biscuits as well as other activities. We thank all families who came in to support us doing some wonderful activities with the children and look forward to your support in to the new year.🥰🥰🥰

The children have used the outdoor park to go foraging for leaves stick and cones to use in our Autumn display's. The children have really enjoyed been in the enviroment going for walks and learning about what happens to the trees, flowers etc and using the resources in play. A bonus was also having a flurry of snow which the children had great fun in the park making prints and collecting enough to bring in to the room to play with alongsige the penguins.🐧🤩
