Orchard park pre-school

I would like to thank all the parents who came in to celebrate Easter with us it was a very busy hour doing crafts with the children. The children have also this term learnt about the importance of looking after the resources, the importance of keeping them clean and the most popular activity washing the pots after snack and lunch. These skills and understanding are so essential in everyday life with parents already commenting on how the children are wanting to do the washing/tidying up at home😀🥰
Last but not least we would like to wish everybody a really lovely easter. We will look forward to your return.🐥🐰

This half term we have been learning about people in our community the postman/ the builder, the gardner and the caretaker/street cleaner. The children have really enjoyed going on walks in the community (especially excited to see the builder with the digger).
We spoke about the importance about putting rubbish in the bins and recycling our plastic bottles and cardboard which the children had great fun with in the junk modelling station. We tidied our garden ready to plant our seeds for the vegetable and the flower patches this is a fabulous opertunitie for the children to learn about the world around us.🤩🤩🙂🙂

Orchard park preschool had a very busy first half term back from the christmas break. The Gruffalo was the book of the term we had several weeks having lots of fun extending out play and acting out the book and characters. We followed this by visiting China learning about the different traditions and celebrating Chinese new year lastly we could'nt forget valentines day making some lovely cakes at "cook school" and some crafts for parents🥰🥰🥰

Orchard Park Preschool would like to Wish everybody a happy christmas and happy new year.
We have had a lovely month at preschool the children have been getting very excited making some lovely cards, jumpers ,gingerbread biscuits as well as other activities. We thank all families who came in to support us doing some wonderful activities with the children and look forward to your support in to the new year.🥰🥰🥰

The children have used the outdoor park to go foraging for leaves stick and cones to use in our Autumn display's. The children have really enjoyed been in the enviroment going for walks and learning about what happens to the trees, flowers etc and using the resources in play. A bonus was also having a flurry of snow which the children had great fun in the park making prints and collecting enough to bring in to the room to play with alongsige the penguins.🐧🤩

welcome back everybody! What a full on week we have had, celerating Bonfire night and doing our activities and speaking about "Remembrance Day"😃😍

We are looking to recruit a new member of staff for our busy preschool. The role will be over three days a week hours to be negotiated.

Over the last few weeks we have been looking at "All About Me" we have spoken about our different hair, eyes and skin tones. We have measured ourselves and discussed who is the biggest and who is the smallest in the group. We are going to measure each other each term to see how much we are growing. We have spoken about our families and who are important to us.🥰

What a wonderful start to the new term we have had. The book this half term we have looked at was "Goldilocks and the three bears " We have lots of fun talking about and acting out the story in the tuff tray and home corner. We have spoken about the importance of having breakfast and the children sampling porridge, mark making with it, cooking in the mud kitchen and plenty more activities.
On the second week of the bears the bears visited Italy. We made in "cook school" pasta with peppers, cheese and sweetcorn wnich went down very well with the children at snacktime. We spoke about the importance of having a healthy lunch and how it helps our bodies to grow.
The third we we sent the bears to England. We spoke about the country made flag,s and in "cook school " we made Yorkshire pudding with gravy and added broccoli and carrots to this which once again went down very well at snacktime.
The children have been learning the importance of eating healthy and having good nutritions in their diets as well as staying hydrated to help our bodies grow.

Better late than never after a super busy first half term the pictures!!
Our first half term we looked at space for a couple of weeks this was a child led activity were the children had lots of fun doing. We celebrated chinese new year making China our country of the month the children had lots of fun using rice inside and outside in the mud kitchen.
We olso had lots more fun activities on the go "Cook School" , fun in the outdoor area and also getting out on the park😁🥰
