A wonderful and fun day had by all at the Flower Power Fairs at Newburgh Priory! 🌸🌿

We were nearly cleared out of cakes, and lots of happy customers left with armfuls of beautiful plants!🌱🪴

We thought we’d mix things up a bit today and have our volunteers’ lunch in the back of the Large Drawing Room (which has also doubled as a life-drawing studio!), followed by a bit of family post-match analysis in the Tea Room while scoffing the leftovers!

Watch this space for news of our next art retreat, coming soon… 🎨✨

So excited for tomorrow’s Flower Power Fairs Plant Fair at Newburgh Priory! 🌸🌿 And it’s actually meant to be a lovely sunny day too! 😃👌🤞☀️😎

It’s always a cracking day out for family and friends, with an eclectic selection of plants, plus amazing cakes, sandwiches and sausage rolls made by Superwoman herself — my mother-in-law! ❤️

No break for Supergran iether, who at 101 will still be room sitting. (I hope she doesn’t mind me mentioning her age!) She's basically a rock star.

Hope to see you tomorrow! Xx

TUESDAY 28th JULY
‘Celebrating Hockney!’
10am–4pm

£85 per person, including full refreshments, a lovely lunch, w**e, full access to the grounds, and an optional tour of the house.

We’re going to be celebrating the David Attenborough of the art world: the vibrant, innovative and incredibly versatile David Hockney. A true artistic hero, he spent seven decades pushing boundaries and inspiring generations of artists. Artist in residence, will be leading us in following in the footsteps of this remarkable trailblazer!

There are some beautiful areas close to the house to paint from, with Hockney-esque avenues of trees and wonderful landscapes. We’ll be working en plein air where possible (weather permitting), with the option to paint indoors from source material if needed. We’ll be using acrylic paints throughout the day.

All abilities are warmly welcomed and encouraged.
