Applications are open for the November 2026 NPQs, but places are filling up fast.

Crucially, there will only be one DfE-funded cohort of NPQs in the 2026/27 academic year, with the sole intake starting this November. There will be no spring DfE-funded cohort available across any NPQ providers. Because funding is limited, we strongly encourage you to apply before the summer break for the best chance of securing a place.

Pathfinder are delighted to confirm that for November 2026 cohorts, NPQ scholarship funding will be available to applicants from ALL state-funded schools and 16-19 education institutions for the following NPQ programmes:
NPQ for Early Years Leadership
NPQ for Senior Leadership
NPQ for SENCOs
NPQ for Headship
Early Headship Coaching Offer (EHCO)
For all other NPQs, teachers and leaders from schools in England with the highest proportion of pupil premium students can register for scholarship funded places.

In addition to this, schools on the RISE targeted intervention list or from early years and 16-19 education institutions identified as having high disadvantage can also register for funded places. You can use this eligibility checker to see if your setting will be eligible* for scholarship funding.

For the NPQEYL, funding will also be available for all childminders who are on the Early Years Ofsted Register.
