Wills are not just for the elderly or people with terminal illnesses.
If you are 18+ and own a property, have children, have assets which you would like to go to a certain person, or know whether you would like to be buried or cremated on your death, then you should have a Will stating your wishes.
We feel that even those people who cannot afford to pay a solicitor to draft a Will should still have access to a professional Will writing service.
If you or someone you know requires a Will drafting, please email us at [email protected] or call us on 01904 876976

Yesterday, our Director of Professional Practice Chris Smith, Practice Administrator Fran Yannon, and Supervising Solicitors Gurujosh Roth and John Dimmock visited York County Court with Sara Boulton from The Baroness Hale Legal Clinic.
Whilst there, they met with Her Honour Judge Troy and District Judge Boorman to discuss the York CLOCK Project returning to the court.
When we first launched the CLOCK York Project 3 years ago, law student's from York St John University and the University of York would be present in the court Monday - Friday to assist with form filling, witness statement drafting, and accompanying Litigant in Person to court hearings for support.
6 weeks after the launch, the Covid pandemic hit, and since then, all work had been conducted in our law clinics. This has unfortunately meant a large number of people who could benefit from this service were unaware of it.
Our staff, student's, and court staff are all very happy to see Community Legal Companions return to the court.
