Pure Punjabi Ltd

Pure Punjabi Ltd Indian Cookery School, Corporate team-bonding & events, Meal Kit Gift Boxes & dinner kits, artisan spices & marinades,

Authentic food, family spice blends and quality ingredients along with traditional cookery methods are at the heart of what we do. We offer products, cookery workshops.

- Products

Our award-winning products are made by hand, using the same methods our family has used for generations, allowing us to keep and protect the purity of the products. Every ingredient is hand chopped, ground and juiced w

ith loving care. We don't use any food colouring or preservatives in our products, our mothers and grandmothers didn't need them so neither do we! We are an award-winning family business, dedicated to preserving, teaching and promoting the original North Indian cookery methods of the first generation of immigrants who arrived from the lands of Punjab to the U.K. WE do this through our Indian meal kits, cookery school & food events.

- Indian meal kits & cook-alongs

- Corporate virtual events

- 'The Indian Experience' Cookery Workshop - Join us in our Punjabi home to learn how to cook a 3 course meal from scratch. Led by both of us, we will pass on our cookery methods to you, just as our mother and grandmothers have to us. Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 6 people, to allow us to give personal attention to each participant. For enquiries and bookings email: [email protected]

So I now look and feel 10 years older šŸ˜… , exhausted, but finally it’s done - well the actual self-publication of my story cookbook and physical arrival of many heavy boxes is done!

I didn’t intend writing a cookbook, never mind a book, though I’ve written articles and e-books for many years.

I’ve documented everything of our traditional and artisan methodologies and culinary heritage in this book.

The initial concern buried deep within myself and Safia Hothi-Bellamy Bsc. ...a concern that was growing...was watching customers coming from our roots attending our ā€˜Indian Experience’ cookery workshops, based upon first lessons of the mother. The first time I tried to refund the lady, but she said she had no one to teach her mother’s methods, and so she came. Then this increased, some telling us they weren’t telling relatives and coming secretly!!

Once I realised I needed to document my mothers culinary teachings and the stories of my parents , I focused fully on writing this book (to the detriment and neglect of a lot of other things -the existing business and the huge old fixer-upper I bought at the same time, just to make things harder of course).

and so here it is...my beautiful book baby 😁

I am still looking for any philanthropic souls who are interested in the wider learning and development, within the context of immigration and culture) of our younger generations from all backgrounds!

If you can sponsor to help place book into senior schools and colleges it would be hugely appreciated!

My book delivers thought-provoking content about immigration, Asians in business, family and culture differences and my intention is to deliver it in a gentle way (via delicious Punjabi food), and just make them think and maybe questions their prejudices or pre-conceived ideas.

A lovely day teaching our attendees on The Indian Experience cookery workshop on the last of the early Summer workshops - now into private and bespoke events and some availability for corporate bookings. The next workshops start up again from September.

Our workshop attendees travelled to us from Burnham-on-sea, Wareham, Clevedon, Bridgwater then fairly locally, from Somerton. A mix of gift recipients and treats for self, we had birthday gifts and mother & daughter enjoying an experience day of lifelong learning. They all spent an immersive day of cookery and culture with us, learning all about home-style North Indian cookery.

Our unique ā€˜Indian Experience’ cookery workshop day teaches the way mothers & grandmothers from the region of Punjabi North India taught their daughters through the generations and before modern times. Our mother-daughter ā€˜Indian Experience’ cookery workshop is all about authentic homestyle North Indian cooking, the way mothers traditionally taught their daughters through the generations, (and in our case, our sons were taught as well!).

Our workshops take place in our South Somerset home, where we relocated from The New Forest/Hampshire/Wiltshire border, to be able to offer accommodation for our workshop customers, who often come to us from far and wide, across the UK and sometimes even further.

Next available date with any places is Friday 18th September 2026.

Further dates to be released shortly, to accommodate open date purchases for ā€˜future date’ gift recipients. It is advisable to secure advertised places for set dates in advance, or to purchase for a ā€˜future date’, which means that ā€˜future date purchasers will always have new dates made available to them.
New dates are also sent to our newsletter subscriber list.

A lovely day teaching our attendees on The Indian Experience cookery workshop and our workshop attendees travelled to us from further away, from Newbury and Andover, and Devon, then fairly locally, from Dorchester and Halstock

Our cookery workshops make great special occasion and birthday gifts for friends & family, or as a meaningful and fun experience day out for yourself, and are particularly popular with couples and friends, who choose our workshops over buying more ā€˜things’.

This is the food we eat at home and give our families, including children, so not restaurant style, as we don’t really eat there. It’s important to know and understand the difference between the regions of Indian and ours is the food from Punjab…a region known as the ā€˜bread basket’ of India, and famous for its dishes.

Next available dates with any places is Friday 18th September 2026.

Further dates to be released shortly, to accommodate open date purchases for ā€˜future date’ gift recipients.

A perfectly lovely Sunday morning on our recent Indian Street food cookery workshop for these gifts to self and to their loved ones
They travelled to us from fairly nearby for this workshop: Martock, Somerton & Bristol area, to learn how to make hand-made Gol Guppe (Pani Puri), Vegetable Samosas, and Amritsari Fish.

A smaller group than normal but as we were fulfilling ā€˜future date’ bookings, we didn’t want to have them waiting for after September when new dates will be released.

Street food is ā€˜treat’ food but great for parties and just knowing how to make a samosa properly is an art and a tradition that needs preserving – no cheats methods, filling cones, or filo pastry.

Our workshops take place in our South Somerset home, which we bought to have some accommodation for workshop customers, who often come to us from far and wide, across the UK and sometimes even further.

Our cookery workshops make great special occasion and birthday gifts for friends & family, or as an experience day out for yourself, and are particularly popular with couples and friends, who to choose our workshops over buying more ā€˜things’.

Next availability on The Indian Street Food half-day cookery workshop is ā€˜future date, which means this is an open booking, allowing the recipient to select their own date form future availability.
