A very sunny week with the theme of Sunflowers 🌻 We got out and about every day and enjoyed Turbo Tots at Haynes Motor Museum, a trip to Barrington Court, Coppet Hill Sunflower Trail and Maiden Castle Sunflowers. In the afternoons we enjoyed lots of activities in the setting inside and out.

Always a firm favourite in the Summer holidays, pirate week!! So much fun with the activities in the setting and lots of outings too. We enjoyed a visit to Barrington Court, a visit to see the residents at The Elms, Diesel Day fun at Yeovil Railway Centre, Mudford Rec Play Day and a lovely day out at Glastonbury Abbey.

The theme in the setting this week has been sealife. We have also enjoyed lots of great days out in the sunshine.

A really fun week enjoying the theme of dinosaurs. In the setting we had lots of great resources covering all 7 areas of learning and opportunities for using our imagination. We enjoyed trips out to 3 museums and had lovely picnics out. We also enjoyed a session at Tinker Stay and Play and had some fun in the garden.

This week in the setting, we embraced a healthy eating theme. We ventured out in the mornings before the heat became intense, enjoying strawberry picking at Forde Abbey PYO, a visit to The Newt for paddling in the water channels, soft play, and Boogie Bunnies. Additionally, we kept cool in the garden with water play under the gazebo.

This week has been all about People Who Help Us. Lots of different stations set up around the setting to help the children understand and learn about different people who can help when we need it. We did crafting and had fun in the garden in the sun. We also enjoyed a trip to Vurlands Animal Park, toddler group and Boogie Bunnies.

Not quite the week I had planned due to the extreme heat. I set up resources covering the theme of Transport in the setting. We went to Abbotsbury Swannery on Monday and had a lovely time in the shade under the trees and the breeze coming off the coast was very welcome, we took shelter from the heat at Safari Tots, we enjoyed some water play in the garden and enjoyed some baking and other games inside.
