Buckler’s Mead Academy celebrates another year of ‘Outstanding’ results. 💫
Having achieved ‘Record Breaking’ GCSE results last year, students at Buckler’s Mead have yet again emulated another year of sustained excellent GCSE outcomes which rank as some of the highest across the county.
Hugo Lo, Oliver Legg and Rumaisa Chowdhury achieved some of the highest grades in the year group consisting exclusively of grade 8s and Grade 9s. Upon opening his envelope, our Head Student, Hugo Lo, modestly stated how proud he was. Hugo will go on to study A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics. Oliver Legg is looking forward to studying A-level Biology, Mathematics and Sport Science next year. Lily Parks, whom many will know from our whole-school productions of ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Legally Blonde’, achieved strong passes across all of her exams and is looking forward to starting drama school at Bristol Conservatoire.
Mornings like these are those professional moments you treasure when you see diligent students rewarded with the excellent grades that their hard work deserves. They have been a fantastic year group and they have played a key role in ensuring Buckler’s Mead achieved a very strong ‘Good’ in our last OFSTED inspection. They are a credit to themselves, their families and the Academy. These grades now allow them to pursue their exciting future endeavours at college, 6th form and apprenticeships. Credit must go to our talented and dedicated teachers who perennially go above and beyond to ensure that our students achieve their potential
We could not be more proud of this year group and we will miss them dearly. We look forward to seeing them again at our Year 11 Award ceremony later this year.
