The Dartmoor Centres - Pixies Holt & DTC

Outdoor education centres. Professionally organised adventures and training for schools, young people Both centres are owned and managed by Devon County Council.

The Dartmoor Centres consist of Pixies Holt and the Dartmoor Training Centre. We offer fun and safe outdoor learning activities on Dartmoor run from our two fantastic residential centres in the heart of Dartmoor. The centres are bookable on a sole-occupancy basis (no sharing with other schools) and offer fully-indoor residentials with drying rooms, hot showers and common rooms for relaxing and socialising.

Outdoor first aid courses are back! First course on the 12th and 13th of Feb. Stay over at Pixies Holt and experience our legendary catering, meet some like minded people and get some great training. Visit the Devon education services shop to book, places very limited!

Could this be your School next year? Young people benefit hugly from the chance to experience genuine adventure in the outdoors. Improving resilience, widening horizons, gaining confidence, learning about nature and the world around them, we could go on....
Here are the fantastic Willand Primary school doing all of these and, as you can see, having lots of fun!

It's always good see clothes drying on the veranda of Pixies Holt, Willand Primary school had a dip in the river after a hot day out climbing with our instructors.
