Rushmoor Youth Swimming We are a community swimming club teaching children from 5.5/6 years old to learn to swim at Yateley School Pool on Tuesday evenings between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.

Children must be active members of the scout and guide associations.

🎉 Double Celebration for Team Rushmoor Youth ! 🎉

​A massive congratulations to Austin for successfully completing and passing his Level 2 STA Swimming Teaching Qualification—making him our very first volunteer to complete the rebranded STA Level 2 Swimming Teacher course ! 🏊‍♂️

​Another huge shoutout to Caroline, who also passed her NPLQ Pool Lifeguard Qualification last week as well ! 🏊‍♀️

​Passing both of these qualifications takes serious dedication, hard work, and focus. Having another expert teacher and certified lifeguard on poolside is going to make our team stronger and safer than ever.

​We can't wait to watch you both in action when we return in September! Very well done to you both ! 👏✨

🌊 Swim Updates for Parents – Please Read & Save the Dates! 🏊‍♀️

🏊 Final Week of Term

Tuesday 21st July is our final lesson of the term!

If your child is unable to attend the final session, don't worry. Our teachers have been assessing swimmers throughout the term, so every child will still receive their end-of-term result.

Please bring £2.50 (cash if possible) to cover the cost of their certificate and badge.

We're looking forward to seeing you all on poolside!

Family Swim – Tuesday 28th July

We're excited to be running our Family Swim sessions!

Choose one of the following time slots:

- 6:30pm – Recommended for families with younger children
- 7:30pm – Recommended for families with older children

Open to swimmers who have achieved Goldfish 3 or above.

This is a great opportunity to challenge themselves and earn another certificate and badge!

🏊‍♀️ It’s The Final Week of Term 🏊‍♂️

Tuesday 21st July is our final club night of the term!

If your child can’t make the final session, don’t worry our teachers have been continually assessing throughout the term, so every swimmer will still receive a result.

A gentle reminder to bring £2.50 cash for their certificate and badge 🏅

We’re looking forward to celebrating everyone’s progress and will see you on poolside!

Just a note to advise that due to the weather and how warm it currently is (and will still be from 6pm this evening), we want to ensure all our volunteers and parents on poolside remain safe and well as poolside is going to be very warm. Whilst we know our swimmers will be in the best place possible we have to remember the wellbeing of our swim teachers and you as parents. We have agreed as a group to close the balcony to all parents for this week as it will be just too warm sitting up there.

Our lessons will be 25 minutes instead of the usual 30 minutes hopefully just for this week while we have an amber weather warning. This will allow 5 minutes at the end of each lesson for our poolside swim teachers and assistants to have a drink, walk under a shower or take a quick dip in the pool to refresh.
Your child’s lesson time will still start at their usual swim time.

We hope you all understand the reasons for these two amendments.

We look forward to seeing you all this evening and don’t forget to bring water for yourself to keep hydrated.
