St Michael's CE Primary School, Sandhurst

St Michael's CE Primary School, Sandhurst 'A school that inspires a love of learning that goes far beyond the classroom!' For us, academic success is just the beginning.

We are so proud of our school, where our children rise to the challenges that school and life presents them with, always striving to be the very best they can be. Our school is alive with the buzz of learning, where there are no ceilings to what can be achieved. Our children are resilient and ambitious learners who are encouraged and nurtured through their educational journey. Each day, we live ou

t our school values (Community, Courage, Compassion and Creativity) and foster supportive and trusting relationships. The school has fantastic staff whose aim is to ensure that every student achieves more than they thought possible, and is equipped for life in the 21st century. We are extremely ambitious for every student and do not put a limit on any child's potential. This approach supports every student to succeed academically, socially and personally. Our teachers respond to every child's strengths, as well as areas of development to ensure that they can overcome every challenge. We nurture essential skills to equip children to succeed in all aspects of their formative years so that they are prepared for the next steps in their learning journey. Our school nurtures our children's talents through providing a broad, balanced and creative curriculum with a range of extra curricular opportunities so that they can flourish in every aspect of their education. We endeavour to provide a learning environment which stimulates a love of learning whilst creating opportunities to try something new and, above all, to be ambitious. St Michael's (a Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School and part of the Diocese of Oxford) is the oldest school in Sandhurst, comprising seven classes and a dedicated team of staff who teach our children across the primary age range. With one class per year group (our class sizes are 30 in the Infants and up to 32 in the Juniors). Our traditional Victorian building, adapted to meet the needs of modern school life, is in an attractive location in Sandhurst where we are able to make use of the nearby woods and lake. Our school field is a short walk from the main building and is used for a variety of activities including PE lessons, sporting fixtures and outdoor learning. Please feel free to explore our website, where you will find information about each class, events going on in the school and other useful information. You are most welcome to visit St Michael's through booking a tour, on these tours our children will be happy to guide you round and share their experiences of school with you. It is a privilege for us at St Michael's to serve the community of Sandhurst and the surrounding areas. Together we will continue to ensure that each and every child has the best possible start to their lives.

"A final glorious day on our residential to the lakes. We have raft built, we have rescued Bob. We have zip wired across the lake, become archers and cooked our evening meal out in the woodland over an open fire. It has been great!
We look forward to seeing you all later today!"

A slightly different day weather wise as year 6 contended with the rain all day, however despite that, they continued to throw themselves into everything and the children were brilliant. They have kayaked, been on the runway, challenged themselves on the challenge course and obstacle course, as well as rescuing Bob during search and rescue. We are now looking forward to mountain day today and the glorious weather ahead
