Abrasive wheels/ angle grinder course

All trades use angle grinders at some point, Abrasive wheels are often mounted incorrectly and are used to cut/ grind the wrong materials which can lead to the wheels breaking up and seriously injuring the user

This half day course will show you how to mount the wheels correctly and how to use the machines safely
Bench mounted/ pedestal grinders are also included in the course

Mobile access tower training

Tower training should be a priority to ensure the safety of people that work at height as it is far safer to work from a platform with a double handrail than it is to use ladders.

Confined space with escape sets training.

This course is crucial for any businesses that work in sewers, plant rooms, tunnels and any area that could be deemed as a confined space.

Last week I spent three days with Total access scaffolding in Bristol carrying out various safety training courses to bring them up to date and make them compliant for the next thee years. Friday was Emergency first aid at work training.
Great bunch of people that were very willing to learn.
This course consisted of the following modules

Defibrillator practical session
CPR practice
Choking scenarios
Bandaging
Shock treatment
Seizures
This course was tailored to cover all the likely day to day injuries that scaffolders could be faced with and was a very enjoyable days training.

Scaffolding inspection is a legal requirement not an optional thing
Scaffolding needs inspecting every 7 days by law
