Messy Babies is a multi-sensory and messy play class for babies and toddlers. To secure a place, book in adv for the whole term at £39 for a 6 week term.
Classes take place on a Wednesday at Ridgewood Community Centre at 9.30 -10.15am and 10.45-11.30am.

🌈☔🦆NURSERY RHYME WEEK 🌈☔🦆
Today we celebrated National Nursery Rhyme Week. We started with singing a few favourites whilst using instruments and props.
The trays had rainbow spaghetti (I can sing a rainbow) water and ducks (5 Little Ducks), a Humpty Dumpty sensory set up and a handprint fish painting station (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, once I caught a fish alive)
All the babies had a great time. See you all next week for Amazing Animal Week.

🎓BRILLIANT BOOK WEEK🎓
Today we enjoyed lots of books. First, we all enjoyed exploring 'That's Not My...' books and listened to one of Stanley's favourites, Ten Friendly Fish. (Everyone did lots of great counting.) We then went to the trays to enjoy the sensory and Messy set ups. We had Oh Dear, Ten Little Dinosaurs, 5 little Bugs and paper dolls.
I do not need to mention how important reading with your baby is. Even if you think they are not listening or only engage with a book for a few minutes, it's still helping their development in so many ways.

🎉🎉Fantastic Fireworks🎉🎉
Today we enjoyed themed play about fireworks. We started by playing with our shiny pompoms whilst listening to a firework poem. We then played with the parachute and then went to the tuff trays to get messy. Today we had a sparkler making station, a firework making exploration with baking soda and vinegar, a firework painting station and an edible bonfire picture.
I hope all group members, new and old, enjoyed the first session of his term. Only very few photos taken today. Then got home and set it up again for my 2 little ones. X

🎃🎃 HALLOWEEN 🎃🎃
We enjoyed a Halloween Extravaganza today. We had a lucky dip pumpkin full with pumpkin guts and jelly, we had a bat hunt with black pasta bows, tongs and cornflakes and we had a monster mayhem station with shredded paper, eyeballs and insects. At our painting station, we had a number of hand and foot print pictures to choose from. Lots of different sensory experiences, different textures and different spooky objects to feel and discuss.

🍁🍀🌿Awesome Autumn🌿🍀🍁
Today we enjoyed Autumn tree paintings, oobleck and leaves, a sensory autumn tray and apple bobbing. We also used the parachute which the babies always love. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Don't forget to come in optional Halloween costume next week. Xx
