๐Ÿฅฐ First steps into a big new adventure...

Starting school is a huge milestone, but our new Reception 2026 cohort took it completely in their stride today at our first 'Stay and Play' session! It was a joy to watch them explore, sing together, and start forming those very first school friendships.

A few highlights from a very special day.

๐Ÿ‘Ÿ We did it! Yesterday marked the very first session of our new school running club, and what a start it was! did it! Our amazing runners laced up their trainers and smashed a 1-mile looping around the school grounds. The energy, determination, and smiles were absolutely incredible.
And remember team... if itโ€™s not on Strava, it didnโ€™t happen! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Donโ€™t forget to log those miles! Massive shoutout to everyone who came out yesterday. Same time next week? ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐Ÿท Receptionโ€™s Big Adventure to Cattle Country! ๐Ÿฎ

What a truly wonderful day our Reception classes had yesterday! We jumped on the coach and headed off to Cattle Country Farm Park for a day filled with sunshine, smiles, and lots of new furry and feathered friends. ๐ŸŒพ

As part of our learning about growth and the world around us, our little explorers got to see some adorable baby animals up close and learn how farmers care for them. Highlights of our hands-on day included:

๐Ÿท Watching the bouncy little piglets chase each other around.

๐Ÿฎ Meeting the gentle calves and learning what they eat.

๐Ÿฐ Having a quiet moment with some incredibly soft rabbits.

๐Ÿฆ† Watching the fluffy ducklings.

The children were absolute superstars. They showed so much kindness and gentleness around the animals, asked brilliant questions, and represented our school beautifully. We are so proud of them all!

Exciting things are happening! ๐ŸŒŸ

Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors were so excited to come together for their very first meeting before half term, sharing lots of thoughtful ideas about how to make our school an even kinder and more inclusive place.

One of our very first projects will be introducing buddy benches to our playgrounds, like the one pictured below ๐Ÿ’› The ambassadors are already making plans and working hard behind the scenes and we are really looking forward to sharing the finished result with you soon.

Watch this space!

๐Ÿฆ‹ Our Butterflies Have Taken Flight! ๐Ÿฆ‹

Before the May half-term, our Nursery children loved watching and caring for their caterpillars, eagerly waiting for them to transform into butterflies. The children learned all about the life cycle and checked on them every day, hoping to see the exciting change.

As it turned out, our butterflies decided to wait until the holidays to emerge! Miss Reader very kindly took them home and continued caring for them until they were ready.

We are delighted to share that all 5 beautiful butterflies have now been safely released. ๐Ÿฆ‹โœจ

Off you go, little butterflies! Thank you for giving our Nursery children such a wonderful learning experience and a chance to witness a little bit of nature's magic. ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฏ Year 1 have gone wild in Design & Technology! ๐Ÿป๐ŸฆŠ
We are incredibly proud of our talented young designers, who have been hard at work creating these absolutely fantastic animal hand puppets! ๐Ÿงตโœ‚๏ธ

The children took charge of the entire process: ๐ŸŽจ Designing their chosen animal characters ๐Ÿ“ Selecting and cutting their colorful felt templates ๐Ÿ‘€ Developing fine motor skills by adding buttons, fluffy fabric, and beautiful decorations to bring their puppets to life!

From koala bears with pockets and bright lions to fluffy white rabbits and creative colorful creatures, their imaginations have truly shined. We think theyโ€™ve done a spectacular job! ๐ŸŒŸ

Parents, which animal is your favorite? Keep an eye out for these little characters coming home soon for some puppet show fun! ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ‘‡
