Behind every smile, every star and every proud little face is a child developing skills that will stay with them long after they’ve left our classes.

Sometimes it’s confidence. Sometimes it’s patience, resilience or learning to work alongside others.

And sometimes it’s simply discovering that they’re capable of something they didn’t think they could do.

That’s what makes Evolve so special to us.

We don’t just celebrate what children can do.

We celebrate who they’re becoming. 💜

🍂 FINDING ME OCTOBER HOLIDAY CAMP IS BACK! 🍂

Three days of playing, creating, exploring, making friends and simply being themselves 🩷

Finding Me Camps are all about giving children the freedom to have fun. There’s no pressure to perform or be the best at anything — just opportunities to get involved, use their imagination, build confidence, make friends and enjoy their day.

And parents… booking is now MUCH easier! 🙌

We’ve been working behind the scenes on our brand-new booking system, so you can now book for the days you need quickly and easily.

📅 27th, 28th & 29th October
⏰ 8:30am–3:30pm
💷 £30 per day

🥪 Packed lunch required

Whether they come for one day or all three, we’ll make sure there’s plenty of fun, friendship, creativity, games, outdoor adventures and, of course, a bit of cooking too! 🥞🎨🌳

THIS is what success looks like at Evolve. ⭐

Except… it looks different on every child.

These little stars might not look like much, but we know what can sit behind each one.

⭐ Having a go when something felt difficult.
⭐ Listening when concentrating was hard.
⭐ Waiting for a turn.
⭐ Showing kindness to someone else.
⭐ Trying again after getting frustrated.
⭐ Joining in when you’d rather have watched.
⭐ Or simply giving your best that day.

That’s why we don’t compare one child’s achievements with another’s.

Their star. Their achievement. Their moment to feel proud.

And judging by these faces… I think they were pretty proud. 🥰⭐

So… is Evolve a martial arts class? 🥋💜
Looking back over 10 year….

It’s probably one of the easiest things to misunderstand about us.

Martial arts has always been part of Evolve. We love the structure, the belts, the sense of achievement and, most importantly, children think it’s cool!

But we’re not here to create martial artists.

We’re here to help develop confident, resilient children who learn to keep trying when something is difficult, manage their emotions, work with others, believe in themselves and celebrate their own progress.

We use movement, fitness, games and our martial arts theme to give children opportunities to actually practise those skills.

Because life skills aren’t something we believe children should just be told about.

They need opportunities to live them.

🥋 The martial arts is the theme.
💜 The child is the focus.

That’s Evolve.

Sometimes, just walking through the door is enough. 💜

We see it all the time.

A child might walk into Evolve full of confidence, ready to join in and give everything a go.

Another might stand at the door unsure, anxious, tired, overwhelmed or simply having had a really difficult day.

For that child, walking through the door might be their achievement.

And we see it.

We don’t expect every child to arrive feeling confident. We don’t expect every child to achieve the same thing, at the same pace, on the same day.

Sometimes success is joining in.

Sometimes it’s trying again.

Sometimes it’s staying for the whole session.

And sometimes, just walking through the door is enough. ⭐

Tomorrow is another day to Evolve. 💜

It looks like play… and that’s exactly how we want it to feel. 💜

But look a little closer.

There’s a child waiting for their turn when they desperately want to go first.
Someone trying again when something didn’t work.
A child learning to lose without giving up.
Someone finding the confidence to join in.
Children listening, communicating, problem-solving and working together.

We can tell children to be resilient, confident, patient and respectful.

Or we can give them a safe place to practise it.

So what are we actually teaching?

Yes, our children are active. They exercise. They learn physical skills and they have a lot of fun.

But underneath all of that, something much bigger is happening.

Self-control.
Focus.
Confidence.
Effort.
Teamwork.
Respect.
Sportsmanship.

We deliberately create opportunities for children to practise these skills — not just talk about them.

Because these are the skills they take with them when they leave our room. 💜

Some things don’t need reinventing. ⭐

Our reward system has been part of Evolve for over 10 years — and there’s a reason it’s still here.

Because children don’t all start from the same place, and achievement shouldn’t be measured as though they do.

The stars you see in these photos span many years, many children and thousands of individual little successes. 💜

A bit more focus.
Trying something that felt difficult.
Showing kindness.
Finding confidence.
Simply having a go.

Different children. Different achievements. Same recognition.

And after 10 years, we still believe that’s worth celebrating. ⭐
