Yarm School, a coeducational day school, is situated in the attractive and historic town of Yarm on a beautiful stretch of the River Tees. It was established in 1978 to provide high quality education for pupils aged 11 to 18. It has its own Preparatory School for boys and girls aged 7 to 10, a Pre-Prep for 4 to 6 years and a Nursery for 3 year-olds.

We are hiring : Learning Support Assistant!

We are looking to appoint a 0.5 part-time (term-time only) Learning Support Assistant, to join our Learning Skills Department, on a one-year fixed term contract, starting as soon as possible.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Learning Support Assistants with relevant experience working with children with SEND, ideally in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Within our impressive results shared today are a range of individual success stories and achievements that extend far beyond the classroom.

Our Class of 2026 have represented the school at national sporting competitions across a wide range of sports, including rugby, rowing, netball and hockey, alongside remarkable successes in music, drama and a host of extra-curricular activities.

🎉 Outstanding GCSE results at Yarm School!

Nationally, 12.3% of GCSEs were graded 9-8, whereas at Yarm 48.1% of grades were awarded these top 9-8 grades.

That means Yarm’s results are very nearly four times the national rate for 9-8 grades.

Huge congratulations to our fantastic Class of 2026, who collected their GCSE results this morning! 🎉

Their exceptional results are a testament to their hard work, determination, ambition and the incredible support they have shown one another throughout their time at Yarm.

🌟 Across almost 1,000 exam entries, the average grade at Yarm was just above a 7.

🌟 11 pupils achieved 9 or more Grade 9s.

🌟 4 pupils achieved an incredible eleven Grade 9s out of eleven!

Dr Huw Williams said: “We are thrilled with the results for our pupils. Headlines are impressive 27% grades at 9, 70% of grades 9-7”.
