🍂🍁 Our Autumn Adventures This Week! 🍁🍂

We’ve had a lovely time embracing all things Autumn at nursery this week! 🧡🍂

✂️ We’ve been developing our fine motor skills by carefully chopping up leaves with scissors, helping to strengthen our little hands and improve our coordination.

💦 Our Autumn water tray has been full of exploration, with conkers to investigate, scoop, pour and splash with! 🌰

🔢 We’ve been getting busy with our Autumn maths tuff tray, exploring numbers, counting and problem-solving through hands-on play. 🍁

👻 And the spooky fun has begun! We’ve started creating some exciting Halloween decorations for our woods, ready to bring a little bit of spooky magic to our outdoor adventures! 🎃🕸️

We love seeing our little learners explore, discover and develop new skills through play! What a wonderful week full of Autumn fun, learning and creativity! 🧡🍂

Our babies have been having lots of fun exploring our sensory bags and bottles! 🍼💖

The little ones have been busy touching, squeezing, shaking and watching all the exciting colours, shapes and movements inside. 👀🌟 They’ve loved discovering the different textures and watching the contents move around, sparking their curiosity and encouraging them to explore.

These simple sensory activities are a wonderful way to support our babies’ early development, helping to develop their hand-eye coordination, visual tracking and fine motor skills, all while having lots of fun! 👐💫

We love seeing our little learners explore the world around them through their senses, building confidence and making new discoveries every day! 🥰🌈

🍂🌳 Our Woodland Adventure! 🦉🦊

We’ve had a wonderful time going on our very own adventure in the woods! 🌿

We started our adventure by sharing the story It Was a Cold, Dark Night 📚🌙. We talked about all the different animals that Ned came across in the story and thought about which animals we might be lucky enough to spot ourselves.

After enjoying the story, we wrapped up warm and headed out into the woods for an exciting woodland adventure! 🍃👣 We explored our surroundings, looked carefully among the trees and searched for the different animals we had discovered in the book. 🐿️🦔🦉

It was a lovely opportunity to bring our story to life, develop our listening and observation skills, and explore the natural world around us. We had so much fun learning through our outdoor adventures! 💚

🚀🌙 We’ve had an out-of-this-world Space Week! 🌙🚀

This week, our little astronauts have been busy exploring the wonderful world of space! 🌌✨

We got creative and designed and made our very own space rockets 🚀, using lots of different materials and letting our imaginations blast off!

We also enjoyed lots of exciting space-themed tuff trays, where we explored, investigated and played while spotting different planets, stars, rockets and other space-related objects. 🪐⭐👽

There were lots of opportunities for talking, questioning and learning as we discovered more about what we might find in space. 🌎🔭

It’s been a week full of exploring, creating, imagining and learning — and we think our little astronauts have done an amazing job! 👩‍🚀👨‍🚀🚀

There are a number of different schemes available, including:
🌈 15 hours and 30 hours funded
👶 Funded childcare for 2-year-olds
💷 Tax-Free Childcare
🏡 Universal Credit childcare

Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to use more than one type of support together.

If you’re unsure what you might be entitled to, the North Yorkshire Families Information Service provides free, friendly and impartial advice about childcare, funding and support.

🍎🌟 Happy World Teachers’ Day! 🌟🍎

On Monday, we started our celebrations by showing our appreciation for all the wonderful teachers who work so hard to inspire, encourage and care for children every single day. 💕📚

Our little ones got busy in the kitchen making some delicious, yummy cakes! 🧁👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 There was lots of mixing, baking and decorating as we prepared some special treats to say thank you.

We then took our tasty treats over to Hutton Rudby Primary School for the teachers to enjoy as a little thank-you for everything they do. 🏫💐

We hope you enjoyed our cakes as much as we enjoyed making them! A very big THANK YOU to all the amazing teachers for helping our children learn, grow and shine. 🌈✨

🌲🦔✨ Our New Woodland Adventure! ✨🦔🌲

We’re so excited to introduce our new adventure in the woods! 🌳🍂

Inspired by the wonderful story It Was a Cold Dark Night, we’re heading into the woodland to explore, imagine and get creative as we bring the story’s characters to life. 📖🌙

We’ll be getting to know Ned, our little hedgehog, and following his adventure through the cold, dark night. 🦔🌙 The children are going to have lots of fun discovering the different creatures Ned meets along the way and creating their own versions using natural materials and their wonderful imaginations. 🍃🪵🐾

We can’t wait to see what creatures they create and watch our woodland adventure unfold! There will be plenty of opportunities for exploring, storytelling, creativity, teamwork and, of course, lots of muddy fun along the way! 🌿💚

Let the adventure begin… and we can’t wait to see where Ned takes us! 🦔✨🌲

A huge thank you to Kat for creating the most wonderful painted food stones for our mud kitchen! 🥕🍓🍞🥦

The children were so excited when they saw all the beautifully painted stones — especially because Kat had individually wrapped each one! 🎁 They loved carefully unwrapping them and discovering what was inside. There were lots of excited faces and plenty of guesses along the way! 😍

Once all the stones had been revealed, we talked together about what different foods each painted stone looked like and shared our ideas about what we could make with them. 🍎🥕🍰

We absolutely love our new additions and can’t wait to get outside and start cooking up some wonderful creations in our mud kitchen! 🌿🥣👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Thank you again, Kat, for such a thoughtful and creative gift — we know the children are going to have so much fun with them! 💚🪨✨
