World Mental Health Day 💚

Today is a reminder that mental health matters, every single day.

Let’s take a moment to check in with ourselves and those around us. A little kindness, a listening ear, or simply asking “Are you okay?” can make more of a difference than we realise.

Remember, it’s okay not to be okay, and you never have to face things alone. Be kind to your mind, take a breath, and look after one another.

You matter. Your feelings matter. Your mental health matters. 💚

Today we celebrated Fiji Day with Dee, giving the children a wonderful opportunity to learn about and experience some of the traditions and culture of Fiji.

The children looked fantastic wearing colourful leis and enjoyed dressing up in traditional grass skirts. We explored and tasted a selection of fruits found in Fiji including mango and papaya.

Dee showed the children how to scrape a coconut using a traditional stool and scraper. She shared a lovely story about how this was one of her chores as a little girl growing up in Fiji. The children then had the opportunity to squeeze the grated coconut to make fresh coconut milk, giving them a hands-on experience of a traditional part of Fijian life.

To finish our special celebration, Dee kindly treated the practitioners to a delicious cake. The cake was cut by the leaders of the setting as a mark of respect, which is another meaningful tradition from Dee’s culture.

It was a lovely day filled with learning, sharing, tasting and celebrating Fijian culture and traditions. A big thank you to Dee for sharing her memories, knowledge and traditions with us! 🌺🥥🇫🇯

Over the past two weekends, some of our practitioners have been busy refreshing their Paediatric First Aid certificates. 🩹❤️

We’re incredibly proud to announce that they have all successfully completed their first aid training with British Red Cross .

It’s important to us that our team is fully equipped to keep the children in our care safe and supported. We’re delighted that our entire current staff team now holds a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate. 👏

Today we celebrated our wonderful grandparents ahead of National Grandparents Day on Sunday! We welcomed 15 families for a lovely afternoon of tea, crafts and quality time together.

The children enjoyed planting seeds, moulding playdough and creating beautiful flower decorations.

Grandparents hold such a special place in children’s lives, sharing love, wisdom, stories and treasured memories. We hope you all had a lovely afternoon.
