‼️INCIDENT‼️

Team tasked at 15:11 this afternoon to reports of 2 boats possibly drifting near Greenfield Dock, RNLI Flint Lifeboat was also tasked to launch and investigate.

On scene a Coastguard Rescue Officer met with the first informant who pointed out the 2 boats in question, both boats were in fact safely moored.

The first informant was reassured the right decision was made to call HM Coastguard with these concerns.
As always, we'd much rather attend incidents that turn out to have a positive outcome than risk someone not getting the help they need.

If you're ever genuinely concerned that someone may be in difficulty on or near the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

HM Coastguard is the UK’s 999 maritime and coastal emergency service. Our Coastguard Rescue Service is made up of volunteers who carry out rescues and help those in distress around our coast.

As a volunteer coastguard rescue officer, you could be involved in a range of situations, from mud, cliff and water rescues to searches for missing people. As a volunteer you will not be paid. You can claim a small amount for your time and expenses.

Well done to Arabella , Tom and Rohan who successfully completed their RYA PB2 course today with North Wales Power and Sail. Over the two days each student practiced various skills including MOB recovery , picking up mooring buoys , anchoring and manoeuvring within a marina environment all under the watchful guidance of Mike Green Principal and Chief Instructor.
