2HelpUXL is a mentoring and support service which prides itself to ‘Empower, Encourage, Enthuse’ children and young people within the local community. We provide workshops, programmes and 1-2-1 work to children and young people to give them the tools to achieve their full potential. The purpose of the mentoring initiative is to provide “Supportive, assistance, advocacy or guidance given by one person to another in order to achieve an objective or several objectives over a period of time”. Why:
It was created with students, teachers and parents in mind to:
• To empower the child, young person or family unit to achieve their full potential
• To create an environment that educates, enthuses and innovates the minds of each child and young person.
• Raising confidence and self-esteem, to develop new and existing skills, overcoming any weaknesses and obstacles
• Tackling barriers to learning. To raise the attainment and aspirations of students who have the potential to progress to Higher Education. How:
• Mentoring will take the form of group settings and 1-2-1 sessions to suit individuals preferred needs.
