It's always difficult when people's circumstances make it necessary to surrender a dog. This lovely lady (the human one) used to be very involved with pointers but gave up as she got older. As many people will be aware greyhounds make great companions for older people and here she is with what we anticipate will be her new companion.
This beautiful little lady (the greyhound one) had a loving home but a terrible industrial accident made it impossible for her family to keep her. We were contacted to see if we could help. Well of course we can help so I picked her up from a very emotional household and took her to visit the lady who will be her new mum. It couldn't have gone better. So Ruby will be moving to her new home in Bath in about 3 weeks.
It's lovely when the sunshine breaks through the clouds.

***************DRUM ROLL********************
Introducing Elle and Bertie.
Elle, the beautiful black girl isn't 2 until November but she's already looking for her forever sofa. She went on her first assessment walk yesterday and she was really very good indeed. She showed a little interest in the small dogs that were pinging around the park but she will definitely improve.
Bertie, the handsome black and white boy is 3 and a half. He was a bit pully on the lead and like Elle showed a little interest in the pinging dog but we're confident he'll improve as well.
If you think that either of these beauties may be the dog for you then please message the page or ring Jayne on 07786541615. We'd love to hear from you.

TGI Friday..............as they say. Well it's been a good Friday for little Buffy, she went off to her forever home and was warmly greeted by her new mum and dad and her new house bro, Humphrey. Humphrey's blind but you'd never know it, he wasted no time in showing Buffy around his garden and making sure she knew where to have a wee. Well done little Humph and welcome home Buffy.

These were done by an incredibly talented artist by the name of Andy Liddell (he's on facebook and you can find him there) The first one is a friend's dog, it's a perfect image of a well loved hound. The second one is one of my race dogs winning her race at Swindon several years ago. The 3rd is a group of dogs that Andy did for someone, don't know who but it's fantastic. His prices are reasonable so if you would like a portrait of your dog/s done then please contact him.
ps. We aren't on commission :)

Another cool refreshing breeze today when a lovely family, who had been mourning the loss of their previous dog decided the time was right to adopt again. They came to see Dot and of course fell for her completely, well who wouldn't?
She'll be going for her home visit next weekend and all being well we can arrange the adoption.
We're walking on sunshine 🌞

This heat is horrible but there's always a nice cool breeze awaiting. Yesterday the nice cool breeze was Charlie being officially adopted.
It's great working in collaboration with other individuals and training kennels to find loving homes for greyhounds and Charlie is one such case. His new family had a couple of needs that it was crucial to meet and so I contacted Bernard who I have worked with occasionally and hold in high regard. He had a dog that would be a perfect fit for his prospective adopters, so we worked together and after a week long trial Charlie was officially adopted yesterday. He's got a lovely new mum and dad and a lovely greyhound sister. Happy days Charlie.
