Music for Life work as a school music partner to organise instrumental and singing tuition, through individual, small group and whole class activities. Music for Life works in partnership with around 130 schools and 90 specialist instrumental tutors to teach more than 3,500 young people in school every week. for over 30 years, we have grown our reputation and built up our service one school at a time. The result is that we feel we can rightfully claim an impressive track record of success, something strongly endorsed by two independent evidence based reports produced in partnership with the Federation of Music Services and the Department for Education which both judged Music for Life’s overall effectiveness and value for money to be “outstanding”, as well as being judged twice to be not-for-profit organisation of the year. In addition to the quality tuition being provided, Music for Life also runs many music ensembles such as the Music for Life Cheshire Youth Jazz Orchestra, the Music for Life Cheshire Youth Jazz Band, Folk Group and MfL Orchestra.
