🌍 Global Action: Choosing Fairtrade, Choosing Solidarity

Today, staff are coming together for a Fairtrade Soup & Solidarity Lunch, taking time to reflect on how the choices we make can support farmers and workers around the world.

Inspired by Jesus' call to "Love your neighbour as yourself" (Mark 12:31), we are putting the Catholic Social Teaching principle of Solidarity into action by standing alongside our global neighbours and helping to build a fairer world for all. 💚🌎 CAFOD in North Wales / CAFOD yng Ngogledd Cymru

🙏📿 One Million Children Praying the Rosary 📿🙏

Today, Dosbarth Gwaun joined children from across the world in the ‘One Million Children Praying the Rosary’ initiative. 🌍

Together, we prayed the Rosary for peace and unity in our world, joining our prayers with those of children in many different countries.

A beautiful reminder of the power of prayer and of our connection with the worldwide Catholic family. 💙🙏

🌧️ Waterproof Coats 🧥

Just a little reminder that all children need to bring a waterproof coat to school every day, particularly as we head into wetter weather.

We still make use of our outdoor spaces when it’s raining, so a rainy day doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll be staying indoors! ☔️🌦️

Please make sure your child comes to school prepared for the weather each day.

Thank you for your support! 😊

📚 Recommended Reads for Y3-6 📚

We’ve put together a selection of 48 fantastic books that we recommend our children enjoy during their time at St Mary’s. 🌟📖

Reading together as a family is a wonderful way to share stories and develop a love of reading. Children can read independently, read aloud to someone at home or simply enjoy listening to a story together. ❤️

Have a look at our recommendations and see which ones your family might enjoy! 📚✨

Happy reading! 🥰📖
