Please be aware that Welsh Water are carrying out roadworks at the lower end of Penymynydd Road.

Due to the location of the of works the f29 bus can't safely turn from Penymynydd Road onto Chester Road and vice versa without risking damage to the vehicle.

The operator has determined that the only safe option for the remainder of this week is to drop pupils off at the Co- Op next to the Millstone pub.

The driver will inform pupils as he drops them off there this afternoon that the temporary arrangements will be in place until the end of the week or such time as the roadworks are completed.

Following concerns raised this morning, the temporary traffic lights outside the White Lion will now be manually managed between 7am and 7pm.

We have also been advised that the works, being carried out by Scottish Power, are likely to continue until Thursday.

If possible, families may wish to consider alternative drop-off and pick-up arrangements over the next couple of days.

We appreciate this may not be practical for everyone, but wanted to share the latest information
