We had a wonderful time at last night's Creative North Awards 2025 where our Senior Lecturer, Rich Hebblewhite, received the Star of the Sector award.

Many thanks to Gogledd Creadigol for bringing together so many talented people from across North Wales.

Also, a huge congratulations to our Games Talent Wales alumni Tom Stephenson for bringing home the Top Player award, and Game Design & Enterprise student, Ethan Harris-Austin for also being nominated!

Today saw the return of our annual Lightning Pitch event that featured short business pitch presentations from more than 30 development teams.

The quality was extremely high with a number of projects likely to progress to funding applications in the near future!

Global Game Jam Day 2 is in full swing! Our team of 70 jammers are making progress on 17 different games. We also welcomed young developers as part of our Global Game Jam Next academy initiative, and several funded studios from the Games Talent Wales programme. One more day to go...

Global Game Jam 2025 returns to Wrexham this Friday! The worlds largest creative jam event where people come together to try and make games within a 48 hour period. Any type of game counts... digital games, board games, hardware projects... so long as they fit in with the official theme!

I know we have a lot of regulars who join us, but for anyone else who is interested... it's FREE, and open to ALL. No prior skills or expertise needed. That's all part of the fun!

This year we are also supporting younger learners and welcome attendees from schools/colleges.

Monday saw many of our games students take part in the annual Lightning Pitch event. Participating students each deliver a 5 minute business pitch to a large audience based on their current active project.

The quality was excellent with a number of interesting games in production. Looking forward to playing them at our expo later this year!

Last weekend saw us host Global Game Jam 2024! Our award winning team play a key role in the wider national and global management of the event and have been involved for over a decade.

This year, our jammers in Wrexham managed to make 12 games in 48 hours.

Globally... GGJ24 saw 796 locations from 102 countries across 5 continents!
An incredible achievement!
