Message from the PTA

Our PTA AGM will be this coming Friday night.

I can't stress enough how important it is that we get some more parents involved.

We are very few in numbers and at the end of this school year, two of us will be sadly departing 😭

The commitment is very small, we need only a few hours a year of your time to help raise important funds for our lovely little school.

So please come along, I promise it is lots of fun!!

What an amazing evening. Some of our Pentre children had the opportunity to be part of some filming for the 225 years anniversary of the aqueduct. This is all in preparation for the main event on the 16th October at Chirk Castle. The lanterns were amazing and we are all super excited for the actual evening now. Da Iawn Pawb! For anyone wanting to attend on the 16th October, tickets are free and are available on the poster in the pictures.

Dosbarth 2 have been following the journey of the Westheads and their journey from Llangollen to Thailand. One of our pupils is a family member of Dyfan and we’ve been having weekly updates from him. We were devastated to learn about Dyfs accident but relieved that he is home and getting better. We’ve made a card for you to show that we’re thinking of you. Get well soon ❤️

One very happy child in Ysgol Pentre today. We had a visit from Mr Hatch, Dinas Bran headteacher who announced that one of our pupils had won a Nintendo Switch 2 after his name was drawn out of a box. Children that attended the Dinas Bran open evening had to collect all the stars from each subject area and hand their completed sheet in. What an amazing reward!! Ysgol Dinas Brân

🍂✨It’s been another busy and exciting week at Ysgol Pentre! From chocolate tasting 🍫 and practical maths learning 🔢 to getting hands-on with science and taking time to relax and reset with meditation 🧘‍♀️ We’ve also been learning vital lifesaving skills through Restart a Heart ❤️, getting stuck in to forest school, and coming together for our Harvest celebrations 🌾. A wonderful week full of learning, discovery, celebration and lots of happy memories! 💛✨

🌾Harvest Festival🌾

We celebrated harvest this week in style! We created scarecrow artwork, made wreaths, wrote poems and learnt songs. We have also had important conversations about Food banks and collected donations ourselves to donate to a Wrexham Food bank! Da iawn pawb🍊🥒🥧🍖🥕
