On Friday, 4th September, we welcome Amanda Williams as our First Friday Speaker. Amanda will share fascinating insights into The Oxford Brain Story, an educational framework that explains how early childhood experiences shape brain development. 👧🧠🧒

📚 Volunteer Opportunity: Children’s Storyteller or Crafter Wanted to Join Our Fabulous Storytelling Team! 🎨✨

If you love inspiring children's imaginations through stories or creative crafts, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! 👦👧

🤗 We're looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help out at the library one Saturday a month. You'll be reading to small groups of children (up to 11 years old) or leading fun craft activities, with the freedom to choose the stories, rhymes and topics. Sessions will last up to one hour.

📃 Please note that this is a voluntary role at our community library located in the grounds of Castell Alun High School. A DBS check will be required before you start, but we can help with that.

✨ Storytime at Hope Community Library 📖🐦

Join us on 27th June at 10.30 am for a fun, interactive talk about Curlews! The session will feature readings from "Sali and the Call of the Curlew," a wonderful book by local author and library volunteer Pete Evans. Pete has captured this iconic but increasingly rare bird with its long, curved beak beautifully.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This is a fantastic event for families. Come along to hear the curlew's story, join in with craft activities, and celebrate these wonderful birds together.
