We’re pleased to celebrate the launch of the 100 Stories report, virtual gallery and storytelling toolkit.

The project brings together the experiences of young people, families and professionals navigating the move from Children’s Services to Adult Services, helping show how support can be improved.

More than 80 representatives from organisations across North Wales joined the launch at Wrexham University’s OpTIC Technology Centre to recognise the importance of listening to these experiences and using them to help shape future services.

Our Introduction to the Operating Theatre short course offers an insight into the theatre environment, patient care and the role of Operating Department Practitioners.

Starting in October, this free, eight-week course could be your first step towards a career in this area. If you’re interested in taking your learning further, completing the course may also help you prepare for further study, including our BSc Operating Department Practice course for September 2027 entry.

After eight years working in the fitness industry and more than ten years away from formal education, Victoria returned to university to follow her passion for animals. She said: “It had been over ten years since I had been in any formal education.”

🐾 Starting university after more than 10 years away from education.

After eight years working in the fitness industry, Victoria decided it was time for a change and returned to university to pursue her passion for animals.

“I knew I didn't want to go to a big university because it had been such a long time since I had studied, and I wanted to ensure I could get support if I needed it.”

During her time at Wrexham, Victoria says she has grown in confidence and as a person.
