Our end of year Teddy’s Bear Picnic for Pre-School and Nursery Plus, what a lovely day we all had! The children loved having their picnic altogether and each child received their own teddy bear to take home with them as a little gift!🐻🤎

Here’s what the children have been up to in Pre-School and Nursery Plus lately!

This week the children have been taking part in a sponsored Sport-athon week! ⚽️ each day they have completed a different sporty challenge, including running races on the field, following Zumba dance routines, throwing games and more! 🥎🕺🏽The children have loved taking part! 💙

Recently, we have been visiting our Forest School, collected natural resources and making nature collages in frames.🍃

In Pre-School we have been concentrating on building independence. The children have been pouring their own ‘llaeth neu dwr’, serving their own snack and tidying away when they are finished. ✅

The children in Pre-School and Nursery Plus have been learning all about life cycles, taking a particular interest in caterpillars! 🐛

To enhance the children’s interest, we have got our very own caterpillars and the children are patiently waiting to see all the changes to become butterflies! 🦋

The children have also been going on bug hunts outside, doing plenty of caterpillar and butterfly craft activities as well as playing mini-beast matching games! 🧩❤️

The last couple of weeks the children in Pre-School, Nursery Plus and After School Club have been celebrating Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant (St David’s Day) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🤍

The children have been busy creating Welsh flags and painting daffodils. In the construction area, the Nursery Plus children have been following instructions to make Lego daffodils and red dragons! 🎨🖌️

In After School Club, the children have been designing their own Welsh love spoons, looking at the meaning of each symbols they choose. They have also enjoyed creating pinwheel daffodils! 🌼❤️

We are on the look out for anyone donating Peppa Pig toys and Space themed toys to grow our collection in Pre-School and Nursery Plus.

If anyone has any that they no longer want or need we would be very grateful for them! 😊

The children in Pre-School and Nursery Plus have been very busy the last couple of weeks.. ⭐️

In celebration of Chinese New Year, the children have created beautiful Chinese lanterns to take home! 🏮🇨🇳

We’ve continued to provide lots of opportunities for mark making and to enhance the children’s fine motor skills. The children have also been practicing writing their names too. ✏️

Last Friday was Dydd Miwsig Cymru (Welsh Language Music Day). To celebrate this, the children loved dancing and singing along to Welsh music on the interactive whiteboard! 🎶 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
