Well, here we go again 🤷‍♂️😁 Our fifth consecutive year of qualifying for the National Urdd football finals. The lads were runners - up last year, so we are aiming high in May 2027 to finally get our hands on the trophy. Well done to all teams that competed today, I’ve been told it was a fantastic display of football with an excellent display of sportsmanship 😊

We held a special whole-school assembly this morning to offer our thanks and congratulations to one of our Borras Park legends, Caretaker Mr Andy Davies on his very special birthday 🎂. Everybody sang and gave him three very loud cheers! Andy genuinely is one of the nicest, most caring and dedicated member of the school team. Not everybody gets to see him, as he works early in the morning and returns after school, but we all know how important and valuable he is. For those of you that are lucky enough to see Andy, I’m sure you’ll all agree! We wish “Our Andy” a very happy birthday and many happy returns.
He was very grateful for his new Caretaker coat and hat along with an awesome cake (courtesy of Mrs V 😋) and an envelope of cash to treat himself to something nice😊

I am delighted to share with you our recent Estyn Inspection Report. As a school, we are very pleased with the outcome of the report as it recognises the many strengths we have worked tirelessly to implement over the years as well as identifying some recommendations for us to develop next.
In all, the inspection process went very well and the report is an accurate reflection of our amazing school.
Please take the time to follow the link and read the full report, or the summary report.

Year 5 have managed to raise £1111.36 for Nant Mill Community Trust by doing a sponsored walk. This is an amazing amount for such a fantastic, local cause. Thank you to all family members, friends and colleagues that sponsored this event.

Reading the story ‘Whatever Next’, learning about the planets in the Solar System, ‘blasting off’ rockets to the moon, drawing backwards just like they do in space, ‘grabbing’ moon rocks, dressing up as astronauts and creating rockets using craft resources.
A huge thank you to Xplore for the ‘Space’ Workshop, all of the children in Early Years had so much fun and learnt lots of new things today 🚀🌙 🧑‍🚀 🪐
