A highly beneficial meeting for all concerned earlier this week at PJD Engineering, reviewing the scope of jobs that are required to complete the Pipe Welding Level 3 Apprenticeship.
EngEPA are approved to deliver for the Pipe Welding Level 3 standard and as such we encourage the training providers, employers and apprentices we work with to seek support for the delivery of the standard at the earliest possible opportunity.
We understand that this support, along with clear communication, is key to a successful EPA, and as part of our “one-stop-shop” service, we provide access to a full support toolkit that includes a range of invaluable support material, specifically linked to the Pipe Welder Level 3 standard.
Our unique toolkit is supplemented with the opportunity to have web-based support sessions with experienced assessors to ensure that all are aware and confident in the requirements of the standard to ensure a high success rate. This goes a long way to ensuring positive EPA outcomes for all involved, which ultimately leads to both happy employers and happy apprentices.

🚨 Historical first for Pipe Welder Apprentices 🚨
EngEPA proudly made history this week when they became the first to deliver end point assessments (EPA) for the Pipe Welder level 3 apprenticeship.
EngEPA assessors Marcel Lundy & Simon Davies attended the renowned training school of ALTRAD Babcock in Tipton, where they were able to see first-hand evidence of extremely high levels of training, clearly demonstrated throughout every stage of the process.
The team at EngEPA wish each of the apprentices assessed every success in the exciting careers that lie ahead of them.

From Durham to Devon, our dedicated team of time-served assessors cover the length and breadth of England assessing and grading apprentice competence against the 9 engineering standards we specialise in.
Earlier this week, our assessors met up and held a productive standardisation meeting at our head office at The Foundry in . These meetings are a crucial part of EngEPA 's Ofqual compliance, ensuring that all our assessors continue to assess to the same standard, thus making sure that the requirements for each standard are followed and met consistently for each learner.

Vic Walsh has been on site this week at Municipal in Surrey to complete 3 End Point Assessments for the Metal Fabricator Level 3 standard (ST0607).
To assess the KSBs laid out in the assessment plan will require a 6-hour observation of two practical tasks. The practical skills tasks are designed by the EPAO to reflect the apprentice's portfolio and their day-to-day activities. On completion, the practical observation and reflective portfolio will underpin the professional discussion which is the final stage of the EPA.
Each section will be graded with a pass, merit or distinction. The evidence is uploaded on to ACE360 for IQA second review to ensure the correct grade is awarded.
